Never use beech leaves as a fertilizer for grapes; this can be a little too acidic for the grape vines.
Some vines are planted in pots. Here are some special information about planting up the grape-vine by using pots:
• Make sure that the root ball is not yet grown too much in a small pot for too long
• It should be plant as deep as just below the original compost surface in the pot so that
the root ball will be enclosed with soil.
The way to handle the vine is really special. The roots should be cool but the grape-vine should face the sun. For you to be able to keep the roots in low temperature, place some stones or rocks around the base to help prevent direct sunlight from getting into the roots.
